    SLASSCOM sets stage for next era of technology growth with visionary leadership team for 2026/27

    The Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM) has announced the appointment of its Board of Directors and General Council for the 2026/27 term.

    Representing over 300 member companies that collectively contribute approximately 90% of Sri Lanka’s Knowledge and Innovation sector export revenue, SLASSCOM continues to serve as the leading voice of the country’s knowledge and innovation sector. The newly appointed leadership team will play a pivotal role in strengthening Sri Lanka’s position as a global technology destination, accelerating AI adoption, developing future-ready talent, supporting entrepreneurship, and expanding international market opportunities.

    The new leadership assumes responsibility at a significant time for Sri Lanka’s digital economy, as the country continues its ambition of transforming its $ 2 billion knowledge and innovation industry into a $ 5 billion export sector. Through collaboration with industry stakeholders, government, academia, and global partners, SLASSCOM remains committed to building a sustainable ecosystem that enables innovation, drives economic growth, and creates new opportunities for technology companies and professionals.

    The Office Bearers for the 2026/27 term are Chairperson, hSenid Business Solutions Director/CEO Sampath Jayasundara, Vice Chairperson 1, SimCentric Technologies Managing Director Haridhu Abeygoonaratne, Vice Chairperson 2, ADA Regional Head South Asia – Customer Engagement Solutions Sanjini Munaweera, Director – Finance, Global Frontiers VP – Engineering Bimal Gunapala, and Director – Operations, WNS Sri Lanka Managing Director/Country Head Shanaka Fernando.

    The newly appointed Board Directors include IFS R&D International VP – Human Resources Thilanka Jayathilake, Virtusa Co-Country Head Denver De Zylva, Deloitte ESG – Government and Public Sector Leader Zahra Cader, HCL Tech Country Head Omar Hassen, 99x Director – Quality Tharindra Jayamaha, Sysco LABS Managing Director Thushera Kawdawatte, and Covalent Systems, Director/Representative Arjuna Amarasinghe.

    The General Council represents  a diverse group of industry leaders, comprising of Virtusa Senior Director/Head of HR Inoka Dias, Fortude Head of Digital Change Management and Communications Dulanga Perera, Zone 24×7 Director/Head of Engineering Dhaminda Siriwardena, Nagarro Associate Principal Consultant HR Vajramali Fonseka, LSEG Director – Country People Partnering Surani Amarasinghe, Deloitte Director Asanka Wasalathilaka, Sysco LABS Head of PR and Corporate Communications Roshanara Tissaaratchy, 99x Senior Manager – Engineering Yohan Gunathilaka, Virtusa Senior Manager – Software Engineering Yasoma Jayasinghe, Deloitte Director Nivedha Balasunderam, N-Able Head of HR Kavan Amunugama, Azend CEO Rajive Silva, Innodata Associate Vice President – HR and Admin Sanjaya Prasad Silva, 99x Chief Marketing and Corporate Affairs Officer Chrishan de Mel, Zone 24×7 Associate Director/Head of Marketing Nishani Maurice, hSenid VP – Engineering Ishan Fernando, Acumatica Principal QA Engineer Gousalya Ramachandran, HCL Tech Head of HR Nadira Cassim, SimCentric Manager – HR Hashani Ruberu, JIT Resourcing & Consulting CEO Sashiprabha Dharmadasa, Next Technology Country Manager Kushan Ratnapala, HSBC CIO Malik Induruwana, 99x Director – Delivery Samra Aman, Aeturnum Director – Engineering and Operations Kushan Yapa, and MIT ESP CEO Harendra Samarasinghe.

    The Board of Directors and General Council bring together leading professionals with expertise across software engineering, BPM, AI, digital transformation, consulting, product innovation, finance, governance, and human capital. Representing global technology companies, Sri Lankan product firms, BPM providers, consultancies, financial institutions, and emerging tech enterprises, they serve voluntarily, providing strategic leadership to drive the growth of Sri Lanka’s digital economy.

    SLASSCOM Chairman Sampath Jayasundara said: “SLASSCOM’s strength has always been driven by the commitment, expertise, and collective vision of our members and volunteer leaders. The diverse experience represented across our Board and General Council provides a strong foundation to accelerate our industry’s growth, strengthen our talent ecosystem, encourage innovation, and create greater value for Sri Lanka’s knowledge and innovation sector. Together, we will continue working towards positioning Sri Lanka as a globally competitive digital economy.”
