Huawei recently hosted its Huawei Intelligent IT Summit 2026, bringing together Sri Lanka’s leading CIOs, CTOs, enterprise technology leaders, and digital transformation decision-makers to explore how organizations can build the next generation of AI-ready digital infrastructure.

Held as Huawei’s flagship enterprise IT infrastructure event in Sri Lanka, the summit provided a timely platform for the ICT community to exchange insights on how artificial intelligence,  cloud computing, and data-driven technologies are reshaping enterprise IT architecture and accelerating industry intelligence.
A key highlight of the summit was the introduction of three next-generation infrastructure solutions designed to support the growing demand for AI computing, high-performance data processing, and secure digital platforms.

Among the solutions unveiled was the next-generation OceanStor Dorado converged all-flash storage system, engineered to power mission-critical enterprise workloads such as financial systems, databases, and core digital services. The system delivers ultra-low latency, high reliability, and intelligent data management capabilities, enabling organizations to enhance operational efficiency and resilience.

Huawei also showcased the OceanStor A800, a high-performance distributed file storage platform built for AI workloads and large-scale data environments. The platform enables enterprises and research institutions to efficiently manage massive datasets while supporting AI model training, high-performance computing, and advanced analytics.

In addition, Huawei highlighted its Atlas Intelligent Computing platform, positioning it as a key foundation for mainstream AI adoption. As enterprises increasingly integrate AI into their operations, Atlas provides the high-performance computing capabilities required for AI model development, large-scale training, and intelligent application deployment across industries.

Speaking at the event, Huawei Sri Lanka CEO Zhang Jinze noted that the company remains committed to bringing global innovation to the local market.

“At Huawei, we are very pleased to bring the best of our global technologies to Sri Lanka. We strongly believe that technology grows stronger through collaboration. By working together — industry, enterprises, technology partners, and innovators — we can create a digital ecosystem that supports economic growth and innovation.”

The summit also featured an executive panel discussion with leading industry CIOs and technology experts, who shared practical perspectives on enterprise digital transformation, infrastructure modernization, and the readiness of Sri Lankan organizations for the AI era. Discussions highlighted both opportunities and challenges, including the need for scalable infrastructure, cost efficiency, and reliable technology partnerships.

For Sri Lanka, the technologies and discussions presented at the summit reflect a broader shift toward data-driven and AI-enabled industries. As sectors such as banking, telecommunications, education, and government accelerate digital adoption, investments in high-performance computing and intelligent data infrastructure are expected to play a critical role in improving productivity, enabling innovation, and strengthening the country’s digital economy.

Through the Huawei Intelligent IT Summit 2026, Huawei reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s digital transformation journey by introducing advanced enterprise technologies while fostering industry collaboration and knowledge exchange across the ICT ecosystem.
