Abans, in partnership with LG Electronics, brought ‘Living Just Right with LG AI’ to Colombo City Centre, giving the Sri Lankan consumers an opportunity to experience how thoughtful technology can make everyday living simpler, more comfortable and more personal.
Held from August 12 to 16, at the Colombo City Centre Atrium, the activation introduced visitors to LG’s vision of Affectionate Intelligence, a human-centred approach to technology designed to understand people, adapt to their needs and fit naturally into their everyday lives.
Rather than making life more complicated, LG AI is designed to work quietly in the background, helping make everyday routines more convenient and enjoyable.
While traditional artificial intelligence is often associated with technology that can process information, automate tasks and respond to commands, LG’s Affectionate Intelligence takes a more human approach. It goes beyond simply responding to instructions by considering the context of everyday life and adapting to individual needs.
The idea is simple: technology should work around people, helping create greater comfort and convenience without adding complexity to daily routines. What once seemed like a glimpse of the future is now becoming part of everyday life, with AI already helping people live more comfortably, conveniently and intuitively.
At the heart of the activation was an interactive LG AI Home, created around familiar everyday living spaces. Instead of presenting AI as something distant or difficult to understand, the experience demonstrated how LG AI can already be part of everyday life. Through practical home environments and real-life use cases, visitors could see how LG products can respond to different needs and routines, bringing greater comfort, convenience and peace of mind into the home.
The event also featured a dedicated product display area showcasing LG’s range of consumer electronics and home appliances, allowing the visitors to explore the latest innovations, experience key features and speak with product specialists, adding to the experience, visitors could take part in interactive games including ‘AI Home Hunt’, ‘The Just Right Moment Challenge’ and ‘Cookie Chaos’, with opportunities to win exclusive merchandise, prizes and special discounts.
